So I just got back from AD07. Good times were had (as always) and dumb poses/faces were supplied (as always) by me. I figured it was time for a new ID considering the old one is at least two years old and I have three new Kaoru cosplays. I chose to make an ID out of a photo of my Gauze-era costume simply because I was emulating Kaoru's signature "RAWR! I'm HARDCORE!" pose while wearing it. Keito calls said pose the "god pose" and a friend of hers was wanting a picture of me doing it anyway. XD
Anyhoo, same text as the old one b/c A) it's still applicable B) nothing new and witty has come to me. You'll live I'm sure.

Oh, and my convention badge is totally in the way, but I guess this isn't a photo to showcase my costume and sewing skills anyway. XD
ur welcome! and yea im havin my friend do me hair...she always does...lolz..
so at least im not doing it..lolz...and thanx i hope it comes out good like urs did!
I wore it on Saturday...I think that was the day I stayed the longest--from like noon-ish until right before the cosplay competition (ie when people started clogging the halls lining up and such).
That said, I spent a good deal of time out by the pool to avoid the crush of humanity indoors, that and said crush of humanity was getting all pissy about accidentally spearing themselves on my guitar (and I am a firm believe that if you walk straight into the the guitar while it's stationary, you're at fault. XD).
Anyhoo, glad you like the costume! It was a bitch to make since I decided oh, two weeks before AD that I wanted to make it. I'll be sure to get a real textiles category deviation up of it soon w/ 60% better picture and 100% less silly faces (well maybe only 80%...I make dumb faces and it's a fact).

Um, I don't really do commissions. Mainly, it's that I don't have a lot of time, but also because it's not practical since I haven't got a dressform to fit clothing and patterns to, and I know from the experience that was making a cosplay for a friend that it is really hard to make something for someone with different measurements than your own because you basically just have to hope it fits since trying on yourself doesn't really help. That said, it doesn't mean I won't do commissions in the future, so when you've actually got the money, it wouldn't hurt to ask again. Not promising anything though because I'm a full time student, so my free time tends to be limited.
Anyhoo, glad you like the outfit enough to ask about commsions and all. I'm not a pro by any means, so it's flattering
And yes, I know some Japanese--I've been studying for 5-6 years (athough only really seriously for 3-4) and have studied abroad. Why do ask?
